Manali situated at a height of 6260 feet above sea level, it is one of the most popular, beautiful and awe-inspiring hill stations in this country.
Surrounded by majestic hills and woody forests, the quaint charm of Manali has captured the world's attention and has become one of the most visited tourist destinations in India. The pristine River Beas flows right through the town, creating a mesmerizing and spellbinding landscape. Nestled at one end of the Kullu Valley, Manali is a popular hill station with attractions such as the Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley nearby. Rohtang Pass is covered with snow throughout the year and is a good experience in itself. During this season, Solang Valley comes alive as it is the prime spot to enjoy snow and snow-based activities. This is the ideal place for tourists looking to unwind and rejuvenate in the lap of nature, for there is no place in the country more vibrant and charming as Manali. This town also has a multitude of options for tourists looking for adventurous activities like trekking, paragliding, skiing, zorbing, white water rafting etc. Besides adventurous activities, Manali also has a lot of temples which all tourists and devotees love to visit including the Raghunath temple and Jagannathi Devith Temple being one of the important ones. Hadimba Temple, a 14th century temple is famous for its wooden architecture and for its religious values. Manali is also used as the base town for the Manali-Leh highway and Leh is around 479 km from here. Lahaul and Spiti district can also be accessed from here during the summers using the same highway.
6 Nights, 7 Days
Day 1: Delhi - Stay Shimla (355 kms / 8 hrs)
On arrival, Pick from Delhi and transfer to Shimla for around 7 hrs drive and . On arrival, check-in at the hotel. enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Shimla- Kufri - Local Sightseeing – stay Shimla
This morning, you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters which is just an hour drive from Shimla. Later in the afternoon, depart to Mall road Shimla AND Wallk down the Mall Road. Some of the attractions of the mall road include Shimla Church, Scandal Point, Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall and lakkar Bazzar and Jakhu Temple and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Shimla to Manali (280 kms / 8 hrs )- Local Sightseeing – stay manali
After breakfast, take a drive to Manali for around 7 hrs drive and stay overnight at the hotel Manali .
Day 4: Manali- Local Sightseeing – stay manali
After breakfast, take a half-day local sightseeing of Manali, visiting the 450 years old Hadimba temple, Manu Temple, Club House. Visit the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center as well as the picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Manali- Snow point –Full day excursion stay manali
Today morning, take a half-day excursion to Rohtang Pass/Rohtang snow point. On return, visit Solang Valley. Today, you can opt for adventure sports like Para Gliding, Zorbing or Skiing (subject to snow) on direct-payment basis. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Rohtang Pass: It is 51 Kms | 2hrs from Manali. It is not accessible for almost eight months in a year as it is covered by snow. Guests are generally taken to the snow point on Rohtang Road, permitted by Border Security Force. In case a Tuesday falls on this day, guests shall be taken to the snow point on some other day as we have three nights in Manali.
Solang Valley: It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley, 14 kms northwest of the resort town in Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass and is known for its summer and winter adventure activities. Most commonly offered activities are parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing.
Note: Both Snow Point /Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley will be covered on the same day and the visit is subject to weather conditions.
Day 6: Manali to Chandigarh
Today, proceed to Chandigarh and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Chandigarh to Delhi : Reach Delhi and board train/flight .
